NOISE MONITORING

Noise monitoring is necessary to be conducted, to assess the existing noise climate, assessing the compliance noise limits in the environment for the protection of workers from the excessive noise, and noise abatement through planning and control.

Section 23 under The Environmental Quality Act 1974 :

No person shall, unless licenced, emit or cause or permit to be emitted any noise greater in volume, intensity or quality in contravention of the acceptable conditions specified under section 21.

The methodology shall be as established by DOSH and Noise Exposure Regulations 1989 for the area and personal exposure monitoring.
